He is involved in fields as diverse as; Commercial law, Intellectual Property, Banking and serious crime. As well as his extensive legal practice, Lawrence has been Head of Chambers at 4KBW for 10 years over which time he has encouraged the expansion and development of the set in a direction focused on maintaining its reputation for first-rate standards of work. Areas of Practice Lawrence specialises in Commercial Litigation including Computer and Telecommunication Law, Cross-border Insolvency and Intellectual Property. Court of Appeal case concerning the proceeds of crime in a money laundering action The estate of Dr Anandh & Anr v Barnet Primary Health Care Trust [2004] EWCA Civ.05; The defendant appealed against judge's decision upholding the master's order refusing permission to extend time for service of defence and permitting the claimant's application for summary judgment. The matter should not have been dealt with by means of summary judgment as there had been competing factual issues that should have been considered. At these schools, the barrister gives presentations explaining the legal profession, as well as how to gain access and opportunities. The scheme is designed in such a way that the barrister is paired with students who may feel that being a lawyer is beyond their reach, and gives the belief and understanding necessary for achieving this goal. In addition, the scheme aims to encourage diversity by breaking down elitist barriers within the profession. 4KBW is the only set of chambers at the Bar that has implemented this policy.
